Since originating in Taiwan in 1998, Cat Cafés have taken off! Spreading through Europe and now the United States, this pet-friendly concept is the purrfect idea for those who are thinking about adding a new furbaby to their family.

The Kitty Beautiful, a Cat Café located in downtown Orlando, opened its doors in November 2019 and offers two different sides. One side is your place for all things liquid- and food-related and the other side is…wait for it…a room full of cats waiting to be adopted. The idea behind this type of business is to bring folks in who are interested in adopting a kitty and have them interact with potential cats looking for their furever homes.

If spending hours with feline furbabies is not enough, this café also offers weekly events to include cat yoga, cats against humanity, and trivia. As a cat lover, what more could you ask for?

February is National Pet Dental Health Month. Yay! Have you looked, maybe even smelled, inside your furbaby’s mouth recently?

Bad breath in felines is a common cat owner complaint. But unfortunately, bad breath may not be all that it is. This stinky symptom can be a sign that dental disease is forming in your kitty’s mouth. Good news though…with proper care, these diseases can be prevented.

According to VCA hospitals, “Periodontal disease in cats is one of the most common and serious cat health problems-affecting approximately 70% of cats by the time they are 3 years old.” Other common dental diseases affecting cats include tooth resorption, stomatitis, and gingivitis.
