Pretty Litter – the smartest litter in the world

Lately, pretty litter has been seen everywhere on social – with celebrity endorsements including Martha Stewart. This litter says it monitors your cat’s health – “Pretty Litter’s lightweight litter monitors feline health by changing colors when it detects abnormalities in your cat’s urine.”  A nifty way to check your cat, since they are unable to tell you what is wrong when they have symptoms.   Pretty Litter is a subscription-based product created by Daniel Rotman who “lost a beloved cat that showed no obvious signs of sickness.” [Read more…]

A First Feline in the White House

According to the White House Press, a first cat will be joining the first dogs in the white house soon.  Dr. Jill Biden has been quoted, “I’d love to get a cat,” Dr. Biden gushed in an interview with Fox 5 DC. “I love having animals around the house.”

Meet Gretchen, The Cat Cop

Officer Gretchen Byrne of the Coral Springs Police Department is our new best friend. She not only serves and protects us humans but Gretchen also has a special place in her heart for stray cats and kittens. Byrne has rescued and found homes for over 65 abandoned felines in her Boca Raton neighborhood and is still going strong. During her shifts at work this rescue warrior picks up stray cats of all ages and provides refuge at the police station as well as her home until a furever family is found. 600 Cats and Counting

Wait, what? 600 cats in one place, at one time? Yes, please! You too?

Well, at least it sounds pretty cool. Lanai Cat Sanctuary in Lanai City, Hawaii is a nonprofit organization where more than 600 spayed and neutered kitties call home. Sometimes called “purr-adise” or “fur seasons”, you can visit this island of cats and even adopt if you so choose. Some folks even travel to Lanai City just to visit the “Hawaiian Lions.” But don’t worry, these furry felines are well taken care of with access to over 25,000 square feet of outdoor space and a plenty of different structures to climb on and hide within.
