The Unmistakable Scottish Fold

August 24, 2018 by Jessica O'Neal Leave a Comment

This truly unique kitten, popular amongst celebrities like Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran for their owl-like appearance, was first bred in 1961 by a farmer in Scotland. These felines are known for their folded ears, caused by a natural dominant-genetic mutation that affects cartilage in their ears, causing them to fold over. This breed is very much laid back with a playful demeanor and simply likes to be near their humans at all times. Read more about this distinctive yet special cat here. I mean, come on, with a face like a teddy bear, how could you not want one?!
